Pill case

Dropped by Rockler and on a whim picked up a Deluxe pill case kit and bushings. Turns out it needed a 9/16" drill, only one in that size I had was a spade bit. So I chucked it up, put a block under the blank in the centering vise to give the point someplace to go and drilled the hole very slowly in some spalted sweetgum. It still darn near blew out at the bottom but with the excess length and glueing a chunk back in I got a solid blank glued up with the tube. After a bit of stabilizing with thin CA I turned it down, CA coated it and polished it. My wife liked the way it looks so I'm happy with it.
