Our turning club had a remote demo, by Dave Landers, this month on turning a three piece goblet. This is my take on it. The wood is piece of Mesquite Burl that has been laying around the shop for a couple years. The bowl is 3 1/2", the spindle made from African Blackwood is 5 1/4 X 3/16" and the base, Mesquite, is 2 1/2". The finish is Mahoney's Walnut Oil. The total height of the goblet it 7 1/2".
This is totally different than the wedding goblets that i am use to making where the goblet is all one piece of wood with interlocking captive rings. A nice change up though.
