Hey all!
I have been looking online at a new case for my iPhone to keep is protected in the shop. I have seen the Lifeproof is a top hitter. I currently have the otterbox, but it is just a bit bulky. Any thoughts are much appreciated!

I make mine out of leather. Mine has a strap that loops around the belt and then fastens. When in the house or car, it is easy to unsnap and just carry. Looks good, protects the screen, easy to get the phone out. If you want one made, let me know. I'll send pictures so you can see it.

If you happen to use your phone to read credit cards with Intuit GoPayments, I'd recommend the Morphie "marketeer". It has a QUALITY GoPayment reader built right into the case. Many of the cases (including my Otter Box) make it nearly impossible to use the reader with the phone in the case.

The Morphie gives excellent protection, and many models have "extra batteries" built into the case. It IS $79, but eBay has them with free shipping.

The Morphie is the best and most versatile case I have found.

I broke my otter box belt clip and the receiver on the case. But the phone screen is still good. I am on my 6th screen. Otter box is bulky. Phones just keep flying from there case when I am near concert.

Otterbox commuter case for me.

my phone has hit the floor so many times, I need a new case...and the phone is just fine.

I can tell you without a doubt that the LifeProof is water tight...not just water resistant. My son lifeguards and while I wouldn't submerge my own phone, he took his and made quite a few underwater shots. Not as bulky as an OtterBox but there is a drawback if you want to use a card reader. The earphone jack has a screw in cover and makes plugging a regular jack into it impossible. That being said it does come with an "extender" which screws into the jack and normal earbuds plug into that. It's about 3 inches long and has a holder for the removed plug.(the earphone jack is also covered by a screw in plug) I've taken mine to shows plugged the extender in and simply held the square to swipe the card. They are 80.00 in store but check Amazon got both of ours for around 55.00

Personaly I have a lifroof due to my tendency to get phones wet. Its a great case, but listening to music can be a pain due to the threaded adapter to keep it water proof.
