I started carrying a fountain pen about 7 years ago. As some see it, I have become a fountain pen snob. I do a fair amount of writing and I would not want to go back to RB's. Seems to me the shirt pockets have become smaller, so I made a shortened pen for myself.

I like the shorter design. I have one almost exactly like that that fits in my notebook perfectly.

I like it, shortening the barrel is a great idea!! Does it still take a standard converter, or do you have to use the short cartridges?

I was able to shorten the standard converter 1/4 inch. The barrel is drilled to within 1/8 inch of the tip.
