Penturners-Freebies

What is it about penturners and freebies? It is so cool to get a package in the mail and sure enough there are freebies in there. Got three packages today and in two of them there were extras. Are penturners and suppliers a great bunch of folks or what?:biggrin:

I like to add a few extras when I ship orders. Just another way of saying thank you and that I appreciate your business.

Years ago there were these things called "small businesses" and they had things called "one on one," "personal touch," "make the customer feel special & they'll come back," along with a few other weird ideas.

Many of our vendors and members have resurrected these values and "positive marketing" tools.

Seriously, some of the freebies have prompted me use products I would have never tried, and ended up liking them & subsequently ordering more.....:wink:

I really enjoy the generosity that is shared among the penturning/woodwork/craft world. That's why I hang out here so much.:biggrin:

I second that. Exotic blanks, penblanks.ca, and maybe others have all given me freebees
, even with small orders.
In fact, a simple "sculpted kit" pen I made with a very colorful blank from penblanks, which in material costar me under 5$ was purchased for 150$.

And I remember when I first pulled out the blank from the box, I was so not used to getting something for free that I got all worked up thinking that the seller has shipped me the wrong thing!!
