My wife has a Pentel liquid gel pen with a 0.7 needle tip and she really likes it. Is there any where I could buy the ink barrel and make her one like I make the wooded pens?

The challenger here is often weight - when I've tried cloning some of these "wife favorites", she complains the results aren't very similar because they are too heavy. Probably the amount of metal in our kits vs. the mostly plastic office store pens. I had to go kitless to start getting something close.

You could start by getting some of the refills - Google "Pentel LR7 refill" - then see how you could build a pen around it.
