I made this for my personal use. I made it about a year ago, and it sees frequent use. The wood is oak, and the finish is epoxy over the threads with a topcoat of polyurethane. It uses the PSI Stratus click mechanism, with a gun metal finish.

This has the Vietnam ribbon done in thread wraps. The length of the ribbon is exactly the same as the actual ribbon, and the colors are as close to the original as I could find in the local sewing shops.

I really like that you used thread to do the wraps. Just as a side note, you might look into fishing rod wrapping threads if you consider this in the future. They also have a poly overcoat especially formulated so the colors don't change with the protective poly. Just a thought...
