Just a side note. While i have been working in the Baltimore area i was staying at the Holiday Inn at BWI airport. There were some troops coming home from Iraq. On there way home and may be sent back out in 14-30 days to Afgahnastan. ( pardon the spelling). I gave 2 pens that i had made for a pens for troops to two of the members to thank them for their service. They were greatful for them. They have not heard of any of our pens being sent to troops over there. But that does not surprise me with the amount of troops there.

Jim, Thank you for giving them a couple of pens, they deserve that and more. We have sent out about 1000 pens in the last year and a half. I don't know how many pens the Freedom Pen Project has sent out but there is never enough to go around. If you look at the number of pens vs. the number of troops, you will find that there is one pen for every 1000 troops(probably a lot higher number). We're trying but it's a lot of turning. If anyone wants to donate pens, I am still collecting them and will continue to send them out.
