My wife is officially retiring after 30 years tomorrow Wed. the 18th. They had small celebration last June on her 30th Anniversary and we are not expecting any type of celebration tomorrow. There will be coworkers stopping by while she is being processed out. Normally the company would spring for a retirement gift or a social gathering but the last couple of workers that have retired I have made pens for them as a favor to my wife, seperate from the companys involvement.
Somehow since my wife is retiring I am making pens for her to gift to some of her coworkers that have supported her over the years. Im not sure how that happened.
First it was "can you make a couple pens I can give to my coworkers?" I only need a couple, then it was "I need 4" and finally ended up at 6.
4 of the pens are for her coworkers 2 are for her District managers. Her current one and the one prior.
For her coworkers I made 3 of the pens using Crushed Velvet blanks. A black, a blue, and a red one, on Coyote Stainless steel click pen kits. I made a 4th one with a sample blank from Diamond Cast Thats the red and gold one.
For her Managers, I made one in Red Crushed velvet with silver hardware on 8mm tubes using a parker refill and twist tranny. I made the other from blue Cebloplast also with silver hardware.
