Thanks for posting. I do not have one but all the reason for face protection each and every time the lathe goes on regardless of what's on the lathe.

Thanks - this is interesting.

If I'm not mistaken, this is the second instance in which a chuck with 'quick change' jaws has been recalled.

Seems to me that if it's easy take the jaws off a chuck, then that also means that it's easy for them to come off when they aren't supposed to.

I'm liking my old-fashioned chuck where the jaws are attached with screws more and more every day.

Thanks JT.....I have passed this notice along to the local clubs and turning studios.

I too like my chucks with old fashioned screws to hold the jaws secure.

Thanks for the update. As mentioned, good reason to have a full face mask, no matter what is on the lathe....even foam rubber.
