Well, just got off the phone and ordered the Pen Wizard for a Friday shipping date. They said that it comes with the Type A Pen Mandrel.....the Type B Pen Mandrel can be had in its place (should be avail on Fri).

QUESTION: Should I opt for the Type B or stay with the Type A that comes with it........it's the same cost? Does it really matter? Why would you choose one over the other?

Thanks for your input on this!

You only need a "B" mandrel if you make the Berea kits that call for it (El Grande, Churchill, Perfect fit and a few others, I think.) All PSI and CS USA kits and most Berea kits use the "A" mandrel.

Most pens use the type A, some use the B, you will likely want both eventually. Take the A most of the cheaper kits such as slims etc use it. The A is .250 inch and I just measured my B at .292.

If you're spending that much on a tool and accessories, get both. Will save you postage when in a short while you wish you had the one you didn't order.
