Wow, that's the blackest osage I've ever seen. What is that material on the nib end? That osage is bootiful. I have some that looks bias-cut, but isn't. The tree grows kind of gnarly. I have some in my truck right now, banging around, but I have never turned any. I've also got some in my kiln (a wooden box in my shop). I hope to make some small bowls from it.

No, that isn't my 2nd pen, I've done maybe 20 or so.  I'm a very fast learner.
This kit is actually gold, the scanner is changing the color of the finish. I've ordered a light
box similar to the box in the photo thread. When I get that I will re take all the photos. I've tried
taking pics with other methods, just couldn't get anything to work. Still learning.
