I am making 100 pens for the freedom pen drive. I seem to be coming up short on transmissions and a couple of other parts for the pens. I already had lots of extra tubes for slim lines so I have the blanks ready to be put together and I do not seem to have enough of some of the pieces? Is there any of the vendors that sell parts seperately?
Thanks Alice

How many trannies do you need? and what other parts. I bet I/we could suppy you with whatever you need. You are making Freedom Pens for our soldiers, I will help you out.

I am not sure what happened. I emptied all of the kits into my divided tray and I am short. 13 transmissions, 11 rings, 4 tips, and 16 of the tops that go in the clip. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can send you something in return if you like. Thanks Alice
I will try the places you suggested.

I had several extra parts to begin with so I think what happened is when our woodworking club gave me what they thought was 100 kits it actually was only 80. That would explain the differences in the number of parts I came up short. I can always order 20 more kits if I need to. Thanks, Alice

Alice,
I have extra tips and centerbands in several different platings. If you let me know which platings you need I can send you some. As for the transmissions, I do have some avaiable but they are slightly smaller than the standard transmission by about 0.002" and would need to be CA'd in place. I can send some of these also.

Me too. I have a handfull of clips and mechs etc that I will gladly stick in an envelope for you. PM me your address if you need them.

What plating are you using Alice?

Or, do you mind if they are chrome (complete kits)?
Ed and everyone else, having just returned from a trip to the middle east and seeing a number of the pens that were handed out, I have to say in the future, all the pens I make to send over there will be chrome, it seems to be holding up the best in those conditions.

Thanks everyone,
I am looking for the regular gold plating. to go with the pieces I have. I will pm anyone my address if they like. Let me know the postage or I can send you something in trade. Alice

What were you going there for? Just interested.
The parts I need are the gold ones. I will let our club know that the chrome hold up better for the future.
Our neighbors son just came home injured and their other son is still there. I wanted to make them something besides the slimline. What pen kits do the stars and stripes lazer sets come in? Thanks Again everyone. I will be happy to pay for the postage!

Well.
I just received the first pen kits for the troops from a helpful member, and he does not even live in the US! Thank you so much skiprat! That was really nice of you. I had just finished assembling what I had left and went to the postal box! I guess I need to get busy cutting and drilling more! I have a hundred done and this will make it 110 with more to come. Thanks guys!
