pen parts

HI,
Where can I get an assortment of center bands and other parts to mix-n-match? I get tired of each pen looking the same except for the turned material.

craft supply has individual center bands for the euro, americana, and slim line pens. I think hut does as well.

You could make your own centerbands out of wood.

You could do a sans CB pen...really, especially if it is a slimline. ditch those CB's.

Thanks for the info y'all! I'll try to look up some info on how to turn center bands because I'm thinking they need to be turned with the top barrel.

Look in the library -- reprint from AAW Wood Turnings Mag includes an article on centerbands by Scott Greaves (sp?). Good article with pictures of making multiple center bands from scraps as "loose centerbands".
