pen made from cotton stalk

i work for a farmer friend that grows cotton and thought i would try a pen made from a cotton stalk to give him.it was a little odd turning but i kinda like it:biggrin:

That is something I don't recall having ever seen before. And a nice job. It looks very light colored, almost like ivory.
