Here's a laser cut segmented pattern I've been wanting to try out for sometime now ... a 16 segment stagger stepped helical pattern. Each of the 16 segments has 18 steps and has 180 degrees of rotation. The same effect could be accomplished by stagger stepping individual blocks but it would take 288 of them. The woods are Mahogany and Sycamore.

That is awesome Ken. I really like your designs and this is a great one. I have done this "spiral castle" with larger "segments" ( slices from a multi-ply blank, rotated), but the precision is iffy with my skills. But I really appreciate the precision you get. (I realize the process you use and I could care less - the end result is what is important). Very nice! Thanks for the inspiration. ;)👍😷. Stay healthy.
