Hello there!

I have recently purchased a batch of pen kits from TEMU, just to try it. Does anybody know this set? Its basically a Slimline kit, but the central bead is much bigger - I do not have a bushing for that,so Im sorry for slight misfit - done just with a caliper:)

Price? Shipping?
I got 6 sets for 209 CZK($9.90), thats 34,8 CZK ($1.65) for one set. I usually buy Slimline sets for about 100CZK each,so the price is great. There are other, different sets, too. Also, mk2 mandrells, half the price. A month ago, I bought there 42mm Fostner dril bit I use to make candlesticks. In a hardware store here,it costs at least five times more. I already made 20 candlesticks since, all hardwood, and still cuts like its butter.Shipping is free if the order is bigger than 500CZK(less than $24).

You might reconsider buying anything there.
I did,and... Just a lot of dirt and rummors, also "concerns".. absolutelly no valid arguments. Simple " Its Chinese and China is our enemy, do not buy from them" while the US is the biggest customer for Chinese production at the same time. Plus,Im a hundred percent sure the original manufacturer of kits sold there and by those "reputable" mentioned is the same, same with the quality. Just different trade routes, where you pay extra money just for your good feeling, nothin else. Anyone's free choice,of course.

I buy my Streamline kits from Turner's Warehouse (mostly) for about $4 each. I started using this kit because I always liked the style turned by Peter Hay (penpal) and after his passing in March this year I decided it would be OK to copy his style in his honor. Here is a link to the post showing my first attempt. It didn't have as crisp of transitions as Peter's pens did, but it was my first attempt. - Dave
Wonderfull work, thank you for posting it! I will certainly take some inspiration for the future. I have already made more of them, plain style of course:)

By the CB it look like the Saturn pen kit from PSI, Woodturningz got them, bushing for this pen kit is a little bit wide

Very late to the party, but... those look like the Streamline kits from https://www.strongink.com.cn/goods-466.html?catid=411.

7mm bushings on the ends (just like Slimlines), with a 10mm bushing in the middle. The middle of the pen being a bit fatter just... looks better than a Slimline, IMO.

In case anyone is wondering, yes, I've bought pen kits directly from Strongink. Kits themselves are inexpensive, but shipping is pricey unless you order enough that the per-unit price is nominal. Quality isn't amazing. but fairly comparable to what've I've gotten from PSI - just cheaper - and a lot slower - if you buy say... 25+ at a time.
