Pen from my backyard

A pen from my backyard. I have been watching this burl at the base of a Box Elder tree for several years. Last summer I cut it out. I cut some of it into 1"X 1" X 6" pen blanks. Good thing I did – as it dried it warped quit a bit. This is one of the pens I made from the wood this spring.
