Thanks Skip - Brucematic only for the roughing out followed by a whole bunch of filing and sanding in small spaces. I hope that Ratty doesn't have sticky fingers when he gets here.

That's very cool Bruce. My wife was just bit...ing about my pen cup a few weeks ago. Not that it's not awesome, but it's too small. She likes Mermaids. Get to work..Christmas is not that far off.
What's the inside lining..paper or veneer? That does look like your bug in the system. Can you spin a cup inside a cup? That might work better. Dye the inside blue so the mermaid looks like it's in water and send me a bill. A steel rim would be really cool, but isn't mandatory.
Ooops..forgot to say, be sure and sign the bottom. Always sign your work when you can.

LOL - maybe we can work out another trade. I do like mermaids so if you want to send me some art or if you want me to pick one it may happen - not this year, but who knows. Yes - still working in the inside. This one just has a .010 piece of styrene. Have played around a little with painting it but need to try more. Also tried some selective painting on the outside of one. Also thought of the cup in a cup, but also need to get better at thin wall turning. Get it too thick and the piercing doesn't look good. Also thinking about rims - probably not steel but either ebony or perhaps silver. Still a long way off.

Bruce that's a great looking pen cup, I wish mine looked that nice, instead mine looks like a cooling tower from a nuclear power plant.
