These pen cases are crafted in a "clutch" veneer style. Quickly put together to use up some veneer sheets that were destined for the recycling bin. The round "end caps" are 3/8" scrap wood that is shaped to size with a 2" circle cutter bit. Please notice the maple engraved maple leaf buttons that were cleverly designed by Stan Cook (mr.cook here at the IAP). He does some wonderful work and is a wiz with his laser. Thanks Stan, they give the clutch a nice addition and look spiffy, or so I think.
Little projects like these keep me occupied, but best of all allow me to use up material that would normally go to waste. Hope that you like my effort.
