Thanks Peter . I am doing fine , slowed down a bit and will be 88 next month. We evacuated for three days last week because of the hurricane . Spent a nice time in a safe hotel , with power and internet and good food !!

Yes , we did join IAP the same year, 2006 , 16 years ago. You have purchased many blanks from me and I have seen the many beautiful pens you have made. There is a whole new bunch of pen makers ere on IAP. I am trying to help the young guys/gals in our church to make a few bucks for college education , and also learn some woodworking skills . Just finished some herringbone pattern segmented blanks for Ed and Dawn , and got some new ideas for patterns. I like the 3D stuff, basket design and other woodturning . Using more and more solid surface material. How about you ? ...........anything new in your shop ?

Joe a couple of years ago i sent my mate Casey Giddens 60 kg of pen blanks and then visited him in Melbourne Victoria with my 4 wheel drive full of. One of the first lot was this pen of his made by one of your early blanks you made on your caravan trips so long ago. He made a princely pen ,I want to share with you,be proud also my friend.Hand cut threading etc. As for me trying to coach my legs to move better, been waiting for the delayed summer.Cheers mate.
