Hi,

These are pens 3 and 4, while pens 1 and 2 were disasters. I've been (slowly) learning from my mistakes, and refining the design/procedure in each iteration.

I don't mean to affiliate anyone with these novice efforts, but I'd like to acknowledge/thank RJBWoodTurner for his awesome online videos, Ms. Renée Meeks (Scriptorium) for frequently posting her work online for newbies like me to learn from, and helpful/encouraging comments from people like jalbert, Fred Bruche, Bill (bmachin), and Keith (mrburls).

Pen 1: body/cap are Steel City Woodshed alumilite from Bear Tooth Woods, section is green Madrepearlato from Exotic Blanks, nose cone from Richard Greenwald.

Pen 2: body/cap/section are Mineral Sea alumilite from Bear Tooth Woods, nose cone from Richard Greenwald.

Both sizable pens approximately 142mm in length, 15.5mm in diameter at barrel threads. Working on getting my threads shinier (I think my next effort will be an improvement in this regard) and doing a better sanding job (this is challenging). Any comments, especially pointers on what to improve, are very welcome.

Thanks for looking.
-Max

Thanks for all the kind words, everyone!

@ alanemorrison: yes, these are the 3rd and 4th kitless. I wasn't sure I should call them kitless, as I'm still using a nose cone purchased from Richard Greenwald's site (but I just like the fit and look of them so much).
