This is a stainless steel duraclick pen from Penn State. The wood is deadfall pecan from my backyard stabilized with Cactus Juice. My brother in law, Jason (https://www.penturners.org/members/jh-customs.19793/ ), turned and assembled it. It turned out beautiful, I expect to be hauling it around for a very long time.

That it nice. I haven't tried any of those kits but it is on my list. The wood looks similar to some olivewood I've used.

I would suggest laser engraving your name. It looks good on light colored woods like this. Nice pens tend to walk away.

It does look a bit like olive wood, doesn't it. I am a little disappointed in the pen kit. It requires a plastic adapter on top of the ink cartridge to use the Parker style refill. Unfortunately the adapter doesn't fit all Parker refills. I use a green ink Monteverde cartridge that will not accept the adapter. The green ink is kinda my trademark at work. Other than the adapter, it appears to be a well made kit.
