Hi all,
Decided to try the patriot pen kits this weekend. Top one is Box Elder with Burmese Rosewood end pieces. The bottom one is Burmese Rosewood that had a grain pattern that seemed unsuitable for slimlines, but I think was actually an asset on the bigger pen. I used quite a few things I have learned about on this forum on these two pens i.e. gluing different woods to make a blank, micromesh for finish sanding, and using paper towels instead of rags--safer and gives a nice satin finish. Thanks to everybody for all the information and tips and thanks for looking.
