i made a parker classic rollerball last night and it came out great with only one problem. i forgot to recut the ca glue that built up on the tenon before i assembled it. so, when i went to press it on, i noticed some chunks of CA coming up, so i stopped and tried to take the bottom of the cap part off, but no luck. so i tried to clean out as much ca as i could with the bottom of the cap slightly on. when i pushed it on the remainder of the way, one side is flush and the other side has a little gap... bummer. of course probably something only a penturner would notice, but buggy nonetheless.
anyway, my question.
has anyone found a good method for removing the bottom part of the cap? i tried pliers with a rubber guard, but it just wanted to bend the piece into an oval... maybe i'll just have to cut it off and scrap another kit to salave it...
any suggestions would be appreciated!
