Paper Clip Table Sign Holder

I remember at one time one of the sellers of pens also made a large paper clip for holding table signs. Does anyone remember that and who sold them? I need the paper clip to be 5"-6" long. I will turn bases for them. Our church has some but the bases are so small that the slightest movement knocks them over. I searched for the usual suspects, but didn't find anything.

I built a jig to bend my own. I bought brass welding rods at my local welding supplier. Unless you are set on a paperclip[ style, I would suggest just bending a double loop around a 1 inch or larger dowel.

You could also look into wedding place setting name holders but the rings are round.
