I hear penturners talk about using PAM (for penturning, not cooking :-) ).
Is it used to lubricate bits for drilling blanks? If yes, all materials or just wood or plastics? Woudn't the PAM interfere with the glue or reverse paint adhesion? Or did I just dream all this stuff up? Well if you don't use PAM, what do you use to lubricate/reduce heat when drilling blanks?

Thank you.

PS. "Absolutely Nothing!" LOL

I use it when making kitless pens -- to lubricate drill bits going deep into ebonite/acrylic/alumilite/etc, and when cutting threads with taps and dies.
