Gary, those are REALLY NICE! I sell quite a few snakeskin pen of various styles and am always wishing there were more of a variety of skins out there.

Very Cool Gary,
How do you tan the hides? Homebrew? comercial product? Id love to get some copperheads and some Coral snake....still trying with rattle snake....

I don't think what I am doing is really called tanning---more in the order of dryed and streched. These skins are very thin----I use epoxy to glue them to the tubes---it makes them soft enough to form.

Those are really nice pens. I want to get some snakeskin blanks and try them but at the moment my house is in the middle of renovations. I don't even think I can see my lathe anymore. Should be finished in a week or so. I'll have to buy the blanks though, not too many snakes up here in the Great White North.

Great looking pens.

I have been thinking about making a Copperhead pen for myself to commemorate getting bit by one when I was four years old. That was 37 years ago but I remember it like it was yesterday.
