Most pens I turn are for Woodcrafts Turn for Troops. Usually woods I have left from other projects such as Cherry, Mahogany and Maple. I have Oak, but it usually is a dull looking pen. Until I hit upon dying or painting it after the pen is turned and then sanding it when it is dry and finishing it with the usual CA topcoat. This leaves the coloring in the deep grain and makes for interesting pens.

Very nice !!

I like the profile of those modified slimlines .... and I especially like the finish on the red one !!!
