I haven't been on IAP for a while. After receiving a couple quotes from moving companies I decided that we would self move. It has been a huge undertaking. My wife has already started her job in Pleasanton and I'm packing while the kids finish up the school year. We finally got a contract on a house in San Ramon, CA and things are moving forward. We made four trips and four previous offers on homes and were outbid each time. It's a very crazy competitive market right now where we are headed.

I packed the shop up this week, including the mustard monster (Powermatic). That thing is so heavy! Everything is going to be in storage for a month or so and we are looking for an apartment for the four of us and our two dogs - no small undertaking! Anyone in the area need house sitters for a few weeks?

The Cigar Illusion business is on hold right now until we get situated in the new place. It may take until the end of the Summer to be operational again. Not having wood turning as a creative outlet has been a downer. I rely on the creative process and am having to find other avenues of creativity. (packing doesn't seem to do it!) I'm packing everything in to PODS which are going into storage. Anybody in the Pleasanton/San Ramon area want to organize an "unpacking PODS" party for mid July?? : )

Well, that's a little update of what's happening here. My heart goes out to all those in Oklahoma. I miss the interaction of the forum and seeing the various creative turnings. It looks like a few have given the cigar-look-a-like pen a try and I like the way the ash is being done in the tutorial. Nice work everyone. What's happening in your neck of the woods?

Martin, you have a full plate at the moment. Congrats on your wife's new job! Being apart is hard, especially with kids. If I were close, I'd be happy to help load and unload (easy to say, but true.)

Yuck...I hate moving! I head by there twice a week, maybe Greg can host a Stress-relief Turning Day! Keep your head up, It only gets better from here!
