Outdoor painting?

Having my landscaping upgraded and having a pedestal sort of display for a Blessed Mother statue made of concrete that my Mother had at her house for many years. Over time it was repainted by my brother and now with more time passing and it being in storage since my Mom passed 10 years ago, the paint has failed and is peeling badly. I want to put this in my garden area on this platform being built.

My question is has anyone ever painted stautes like this and if so what type paints did you use and name brands if possible. Also did you top coat it with a UV protector and again if so name brand would help. Has it stood the test of time and weather. Is there anything you would have done differently if you had to do over and explain. Thanks.

Take this with a grain of salt, and I have no idea if this will work or what the size of the statue is, but I think they use something called "Lithichrome paint" for headstones, as it lasts for years. Nothing is permanent, but it's supposed to be fairly long lasting on stone. I think they make a specific one for concrete. Again, no experience with it, just thinking out loud.
