Well the castaway box made its way back to me. I was going throught the box and my 2 daughters were looking at the blanks. Angelina (8 year old) found one she liked and wanted to make a pen from it. That was fine with me. Marley (4 year old), said she wanted to make her pen with a different blank. So I put them to the side, and finished going through the box. Angelina and I prepped the blanks, while Marley "supervised". Yesterday I finished the one Marley picked out, assembled the pen. Well started calling it her pen. I asked her how it was her pen, and she said "Daddy, when I picked out the blank, I asked, can we use this blank to make my pen." I told her I thought she mean the one she wanted to see made, and I got the line, "Well Daddy that's not what you promised me." I guess I was outsmarted by a 4 year old.
