With so many pros and excellent pen turners, I have felt intimidated to show off our pens; but, here are my wife's and my first pens, these are from a WC penturners class and a Wall Street II in Lacewood. And for her birthday, we made a WS II set in native Texas pecan.
Looking now after turning a bunch more, these seem fat in diameter.
Comments, critiques please.

I would tend to agree that they are a little on the "fat" side but other people like them like that. It looks like you are off to a good start. Keep a few of these around and compare them to your future pens and you will be amazed by the progress. Don't be intimidated about showing your pens here...we were all starting at one point.

Your off to a good start, as other have said keep them around and look back on them in a few months so see how far you have come.

Looks are one thing, how egronomic are they to write with? My first ones were really thin . You'll will do many shapes over time. Be creative but functional. I do like the shapes of the glass and letter opener.

Your and your Good Wife, are off to a Flying Start, Ronald.
I shouldn't talk, but yes they could loose some around the middle, as should I.
Your Choice of Kits and Blanks is Excellent, as is your Fit and Finish.
Nothing to be intimidated about is it? - actually quite painless.
Congratulations on your work and posting, I look forward to your next. Lets make them all "Lo-Cal"
Brian.
BTW, love the name of your Town, very appropriate for a couple of woodturners.
