Today is our 36th Wedding Anniversary. My wife, Geri, has truly lived up to her vows:" For Better, for worse, in sickness and in health.". For half of our marriage I have been a cripple and yet she has remained with me.
When we got Married, the shoe was on the other foot. I was able-bodied and Geri was physically challenged (as she prefers to describe it) Geri is a congenital Right-Sided Hemi-Plegic. We have know each other since we were five years old. I used to joke that I had scrars on my left shin where she'd kicked be with her brace when we were kids. Don't have the leg anymore so I don't have the scar. LOL.
