Made from Bob's 7 Seas in alumilite with white cap band. My wife says she wants a white cap finial too, so I'll do that later today. :)

Another great looking pen Shawn. A white finial would accent it nicely i think.

Harry ( i know Bob ) M:biggrin:
LOL

I'm sure Scott will like your signature line. As they say, "Imitation Is the sincerest form of flattery." I'm just not to sure who "THEY" are.

Ok Shawn, tell your wife that I'm going to copy that one. Except maybe the white finial.

B (I know Harry, Scott, & Shawn) Sea

Okay, I know the blank...
I know Shawn...
But I don't know "Orville"... What is that, the name of the pen?

Great turning Shawn! The white finial kind of 'ties' everything together.

Scott (is 'Orville' the popcorn) B

Orville is the name of the guy who opened Vanness Pen and Shave Shop (Orville Vanness) back in 1938 in Little Rock. I named this one Orville b/c I'm making a huge order for Vanness' 75th anniversary. The other pen models are named after old hotels from Hot Springs that are closed down or long gone. Except for a couple anyways. :)

All those little parts and pieces I've posted on facebook lately have been for the Vanness pen order. :)

With a white finial - I agree with my wife - looks MUCH nicer now. :)

I guess I am going against the grain... I liked it with the blue finial. If you want white at the top, maybe the use a white band with the blue at the tip? Similar to the center band end. This is just one persons opinion and I have been wrong before.

I like that idea too. My wife is happy though - so I'm leaving it. I've learned not to mess with her happiness over the last 10 years. :)

Here is a shot of the sections. Working on barrels right now. Really boring. :P
I can't wait to start shaping them. That part goes quick. :) Threading is tedious.

I know what you mean. Happy wife, happy life.

I hope you don't mind, Shawn, but I shopped your pen. Maybe you can show it to your wife and change her mind. That means more work for you though.
