TITLE CORRECTION!! The Rotary is unopened!! I have this outfit for sale but I cannot ship it. I am willing to drive 50 miles or so. This engraver is used, but not by me. I bought it thinking I would someday learn the software, and use it. But I bought another lathe instead!

It comes with an enclosure that has a zip open/ close laser screen window, glasses, exhaust fan with hose.
It has an air assist pump with adjustable control switch.
A grid board that has the grid for burning already done.
A metal plate for burning through materials. Includes a T square for alignment.
In the unopened box is a Rotary for engraving round things (Like Pens)

Engrave your own pens and things!

Everything for $400.00

Hi possibly interested. I'm about an hour south of Indy in Nashville. Need to research the device but off hand, can this engrave nibs?
I'm not positive, but if researching it, take a look at what materials Ortur LM3 says. Another trip to Nashville wouldn't hurt me.

You might ask at lightburnsoftware.com

It looks like this one is not going to work well for nibs. It looks like you can upgrade the power module but the site says something about the wavelength being not great for shiny metals. I recall now that a fiber laser was recommended for nib engraving. Was about to sit for dinner when I saw your post and didn't have an opportunity to research this until now. Good luck with the sale!

I just remembered seeing a video showing the laser wouldn't engrave on shiny surfaces, so he coated it black. No worries. Thanks for your inquiry!

Hey, Chuck. What power is the laser?
Mike, it's at least 10W. I can't find any indicators in the books that came with it, nor any markings on the machine. It may be marked on the diode housing, but I'll have to take it off to read it. But I think I read somewhere it is upgradable to 20W.

I'll dig into it later today, and get you an answer.

Yes, found it. It is indeed 10 watt. But can be upgraded to 20W

I did see where your model had options of a 10w, 20w or 40w module. I have a Ortur LM2 S2 Pro which is a 10w. A diode laser will "mark" shiny metals as long as they are coated with a marking material and it is permanent. Ortur also offers a 1.3w IR laser that will fit their lasers. The IR laser will "engrave" on most metals.

Thanks Bobby! I did not know it had to be permanent coating. Also good information on the 1.3w IR.

The coating isn't permanent. When using a coating such as spray or marker, etc... The laser will burn a permanent mark on the metal and then the coating is washed off. Not so for the IR laser, it will actually engrave metal.
