So I made a couple ornaments last year. Pretty shoddy looking but I was only lathing for a little over a month. These are a little better but I still need to get better with my 1/4" spindle gouge and making spheres. Lol These are done with cherry wood and coated with WTF (wood turners finish). I am having fun with my laser engraver though.

I've got the 1000 and it wont engrave that deeply. Thinking of springing for the 7W model, but I wish the rotary thing would work with it!
If I'm not mistaken Steve, the 7w is merely the size of power of the laser. The 7w laser is compatible with the neje 3500, not sure about the 1000. The lasers just have a little wiring harness you disconnect, take 2 screws out and replace with a compatible laser.
