We open the first weekend in November down here...I was sweating walking out to the stand...needless to say we didn't see much that weekend!
Nice haul for the first hunt of the year! With our antler restrictions down here we couldn't even shoot the big deer (not wide enough!!!!), but I sure would want to!

My father in Law and Uncle in law had gone black powder all ready, but it was opening for shotgun.

Oh in case anyone is worried I am at work, with a croc pot on my desk full of stew, and I know in the next 3 hours it will not be full anymore!

In AZ we have a lottery system so if you actually get drawn you only get 1 week out of the whole year you are allowed to hunt that species and only in the specific unit you applied for. But I've been joking I was going to start charging people to be on the application with me because I've been drawn 5 years straight for Whitetail deer, and 4 years straight for Elk with 2 of those being Bull Elk hunts. I've never failed to get drawn....I've actually been hoping for a year I don't get drawn so I can take a vacation back to VA to visit my parents. I keep burning all my vacation hunting.
