During the snowiest season in 20 years in my community I made three jig boxes for long range fishing. Here are the first two to be completed. American black walnut and African mahogany.

Thankfully it is warmer now.

I make far more per hour when I buy a Triton kit from you and a JohnU or abalone blank. The build still means something to me so I still make them.

I remember wood tackle boxes but the metal ones pushed them to extinction. My complements on the wood and fitting of the pieces. What finish did you use?

System Three spar varnish glossy applied by hand. I mix it four parts varnish to one part mineral spirits

Here is the third box. I charge $450 for walnut and $350 for mahogany. Third world wages for sure as many, many hours are needed, but I love seeing them around. Sometimes the guy knows I made it though doesn't know me. Fun when we meet at the landing.
