One last Christmas gift item. This stirring spatula was for my wife's sister and is turned from Yellow heart.
It started as a 1X3 and final dimensions are 3/4 x 2 3/4 x 12.
I made this one "Right Handed".
Finish is a Mineral Oil/Beeswax blend.

That is very nice, Charlie !!

I assume that you turned the handle first, and then carved the spatula end. . Is that right?

Here is a pic of another stirring spatula on the lathe. All of the spatula is turned to attain shape and size. The paddle is then band-sawn and sanded.
