Over the years I have gotten lucky with getting some good buys at the local "Marshalls" store. They buy a lot of overstock and left overs from other retailers at a discount and resell. Unfortunately I dont get there more than a handfull of times per year. In the past Ive scored olivewood, rosewood and mango sold as trays, tables and cuttingboards. This time worked out ok. Although it isn't Bethlehem Olivewood, it is Olivewood with very nice character and 3/4" thick. Not too bad for $19.00.

Yes, nice score, I find that to be true in may places, folks sell wood for less money as the don't know what kind it is
 
we are fortunate as olive wood grows wild in the north of Soth Africa.The attached photo is part of about 250 kg I purchased for +_ USD 200
