Years ago I was given a disused Olive Grove a few hrs away from where I live. It was totally polled at eight feet and had not been watered for years. It was planted nearly 70 yrs ago.

Brought back a trailer load and cut into lengths, the grain was fleeting or beaut this is the latter.

Peter.

G'Day, Peter, the finished pen is wonderful. I love the hex profile, and the grain is beautiful; you chose an excellent timber.

I also suspect if you have the energy and interest, some pen blanks from your "stash" would do very well in the marketplace.

Cheers, Mark

Very nicely done. You achieved that perfect hex with a router? Table saw? Miracle?

Very nicely figured olivewood.
