So my brother in law had this old Dutch cheese slicer that was passed down to him from his Great-Grandmother. Recently the old dutch wood handle finally fell off so he employed me to make him another one.
So I found a piece of Apple wood and off I went to the shop.

Nice job on the handle Stuart! I haven't turned any apple yet.

I also replaced handles on 3 of these cheese slicers last year for a friend.

Pretty cool to make new from old!

What did you finish the handle with....considering the amount of water/soap it may end up coming in contact with?

Scott (apple pie is good too) B

Yeah, that's what I love about things like this.

I just used CA, not sure if that's what you're supposed to use but thats all I had on hand. I sealed off the hole end with it so it should be completely sealed to water.
