Old American Chestnut

Anyone interested in old american chestnut blanks? This log was accquired from a highend local cabinet maker. It came from a recently demolished house in middle Tennessee that was alledgely built in 1860?

Scott, do you live near any of the stands of the New generation Chinese/American Chestnut?, it's supposed to be almost 80% American and just enough Chinese to stop the bug.

I will cut at least some of it up and start a classified in a couple of days. Thanks for all the replies.

I would cut that cross cut and not straight grain. Bet they will look great.
