I get the others for the most part. Malachite, Sodalite, Turquise, etc.

But what is a Spiney? and how many colors do they come in? I mean there is Tru-Stone for Yellow, Purple and Red&White Spiney.

Is this supposed to be a real stone or mineral? Or just pretty?

Well I'll be! Spiney oyster it is! And not a half bad imitation, thanks Mike!

Don't know if this is the mineral they are referring to Spinel The spinels are any of a class of minerals general formulation A2+B23+O42-
The colors can vary red, blue, green, yellow, brown ,black
it is transparent to opaque with a vitreous to dull luster. It may be colorless, spinels are among the most famous gemstones. At one time spinel and ruby were used interchangeable, before modern techniques could tell the difference.

They can be iron, aluminum, chromium among others.
This is the closet mineral to the spelling of it.
