I've probably done 6 or 8 CA BLO finishes now, and they're getting better. It's not as aesthetically satisfying as a Mylands, and I don't have the finish as nice, but I have to acknowledge its superior durability. I'm inclined to keep using Mylands on some models like the Gentlemen's, but start using CA BLO on twisties.
Only real problem I'm having is getting rid of the faint horizontal rings. I can't see them before I apply the CA, and I've never had with friction polish, so I'm guessing they're CA. I've tried sanding back with the grain and going through all the pads, but they're still there. Anybody know what I'm doing wrong?
