The only fruits of labor from a long weekend (unless you want to see my new shed )
Olive wood on Black Titanium cigar....
and then one in Curly American Sycamore with a Desert Ironwood accent band over copper hardware. It turned out to be a nice save and good practice at adding decorative bands! [:I]
Both are friction polish just because that's what I do now.
The mill liked to chew the ends of the sycamore more than I expected, so it got a little rough. It might always get end bands in the future...or at least until I start squaring on my sander.
These were both sanded up to 2000 grit before applying finish - it did make a difference!
Both woods turned very nicely and were gotten from fellow members (chitswood and jeffm19).
Learning is a journey.........
{Editor's Note: Woops! This would be the missing 2nd pen!!!}

...and the "acc[id]ent" band.........
