I got about 2 or 3 of these blanks from Robutation, (Thanks George) and cored out as many pieces as I could. Again the smallest piece is used to make a foot on one of the bowls. They have been sitting in a box of shavings for some time.

The colours are simply amazing, I love 'em.

The resin repair/patch is coloured with coffee grounds.

All bowls are sanded to 400 grit and finished with Shellawax Glow.

EXCEPT the last & biggest bowl which has a WOP finish.

There are 6 bowls in this lot.

Photos 1, 2 & 3 5.5in x 2.75in
Photos 4 5 7.25in x 3.5in
Photos 6. 7 & 8 8.25in x 4in.
Photos 9 & 10 9.5in x 2.75in
Photos 11, 12 & 13 9.75in x 2.75in
Photos 14 & 15 12.5in x 4.25in.

Hope you like them and thanks for looking.

C & C welcome as usual.

Bob.

Great work Bob! I love the shape, finish and character on all of them. You scored big with those blanks and certainly knew how to use them!

Who would tell, was so much colour inside those blanks...??? I remember to have seen that red(ish) through the wood but, and as with most of the fruit trees, the reds on the green wood tend to disappear as the wood dries and instead a medium brown appears however, not this time, the red colour was preserved and those pieces look just stunning, well done mate...!:biggrin:

Glad they didn't crack like crazy, I was a little concerned...!

Keep up the good work...!

Cheers
George
