Having minor surgery Wednesday on my left wrist. Its a whole 15 or 20 minutes including closing and bandaging. Not sure how I damaged the tendon.

I had 2 cortisone shots and it provided about 5 weeks of relief. Only reason I am doing it is the discomfort is annoying. Moving the thumb causes the discomfort.

For fun I watched the surgery on YouTube.

Hi Chuck. The time will pass sooner than you realise. I had each hand done for Dupuytrons Contracture (3 months apart) I was to be laid up for 6 weeks for each operation. I did find though, that I could do limited work after 2 to 3 weeks. So, I prepared and got ready all of my work so I could tackle it when I got the all clear.

But do take care, don't do anything to set the operation back. You will be turning again before you know it.

Dave.

Read, watch movies, visit friends, do everything that you can that DOESN'T cause you any pain. 4 weeks will pass quickly.

I have no clue how your hand will be usefull but you could clean the shop, build blanks (glueing), maybe even setup a new system.
Just do everything the Doctor says...... And be sure to watch and vote in all the Bash contests.

Good luck Chuck
