I wanted to get this up in case some of you guys have already received pens from your PITH partners. I've got mine from Angi (acmclaren) this morning, but, I haven't got pictures of it yet, but it's gorgeous. I can't wait to get the pictures up and see them all.

PITH pen for Lou

Finished my pen for the PITH exchange. My partner informed me yesterday that he received it and was very pleased. I cast the upper part of the blank using a label that I printed and cast in Liquid Diamonds resins. I also cast the 2nd Amendment blank for a Lever Action pen and sent him a couple of other blanks.

My Pith pen went in the mail today. My swapping partner should have it by Monday. Nothing special, so don't have photos of it. Maybe Mike will post some later.

I always enjoy these swaps because it allows me to hold something from another persons artistic skills........each pen is special to me.

PITH pen

Got my pen from Lou today. A very nice Sierra style pen in copper. The wood is Walnut and Florida Palm with an accent piece, looks like a piece of acrylic, but not sure. Very well made pen with a fantastic finish on it. Thank you very much Lou and a thanks to David for putting this on.

We had a phone conversation and he explained that he try's to focus on making pens for folks who have a hard time holding a pen due to arthritis or anything similar, I have to stay he nailed the design! It's a fantastic pen and is a great addition to my personal collection.

Thank you Wayne and yours will be in the mail tomorrow

My pen from Hutch9022 arrived today. Beautiful pen very well finished along with a few extra items. Camera is fighting with computer so it will not post a photo right now, will try again later. Thank you Mike for the great package, and thanks to Scissortail Pens for doing this swap.

They're looking good all. I need to apologize for not being around lately, we've been dealing with what turns out to be a small, although not minor, medical issue. I'll be putting up the picture of the pen I received from Angi(acmaclaren) this weekend.

Compliments of Fred Bruche

Fred deliver a beautiful, customized pen (finial and center-band) as well a did an outstanding job with his CA finish. He also furnished two wooden and one poly blanks. Thank you Fred. And don't worry, all know that I can't take a picture to save my life. The pen is super!

I received a Beautiful 'fountain style' roller ball pen from Mike. Along with some Myrtle wood and several blanks. I will take a picture with my phone and hopefully, this weekend, someone with more knowledge will show me the easy way to post photos here in the IAP.

Mike, the "fit to my hand" is perfect. Great for these old fingers. The style and craftsmanship is worthy of a front page feature pen. I "Thank you" for the though you put into this pen. It is now one of my favorite pens. I will never carry it on my person but will be on my desk where I can see it daily.

Thank you again

I mailed mine yesterday. I don't do alot of wood pens, but this may be the nicest pen I have ever made of wood :) It's find it enjoyable to go in the shop and get lost in the pens!!

And that blank on the right is from the same board from which I got the blank for the last pretty wood contest :) Passing the torch, no pressure

I got to tell you. I was thinking today what to make with that. Definitely a double barrel. I was think of just using friction polish (vs CA) to preserve the texture.

Received a package from Ernie(EBorraga) yesterday. Had to work late and didn't get to open it until around midnight. Inside was an absolutely gorgeous pen and assortment of blanks!! It is without a doubt the most beautiful pen I now own. Thank you so much, Ernie! (Also, please feel free to post better pics if you have them:wink:) Sorry, I don't know why the last two pictures have rotated.

Finally getting this posted, I've had the box since Friday. My pith partner was Brian G. He sent a beautiful pen with a wonderful finish. I also got several awesome blanks including a stabilized corn cob and some spectraply both of which I've wanted to try. I also got a cool hybrid blank. Unfortunately I can't take great pictures with my phone and they don't do the pen justice. Hopefully Brian has some that are better.

Received my PITH from Keith ( KLJ). A excellently done jr gent in Box Elder. His CA finish is perfect. He also sent a small lumber yard of blanks as you can see. The oak and dogwood have great figure and spalting. This will be my first experience with Plum. And he threw in an amboyna and rosewood blank. That's a huge score. Thank You Keith.

Glad that you liked it. Not sure if I mentioned it or not in the letter. The pen kit was a Newport in Rhodium. The wood is Cocobolo with a CA finish. Have fun with the blanks and post pics when you get them finished up.

I received a beautiful fountain pen from Robert (MrPukaShell), and I've been putting it good use already. He was also generous enough to send me quite a selection of Hawaiian woods!

Got my PITH Partner pens

Received my PITH pen from John Smith. WOW!! It is time to go fishin'!!
Great looking pen with Fisherman theme. Great looking burl blank.

I'm still puzzled how John got so many neat blanks in that small USPS box!!
Now I have to get busy and make some pens out of them.

Thanks John.
Gordon

Glad you like them, Doug. I didn't have my photo "studio" set up when I finished the pen I sent, but I did take a few phone photos before I packed the box. Here's one isolated for the pen:

Now to show off the fantastic pen and blanks Doug (Wagner11) sent to me:

First the pen, which is a Magnetic Graduate made with a sparkling polyester resin blank that Doug cast:

Doug did a great job with the pen. I'm a fan of blue, too.

He also sent along a pile of blanks - some wood and some PR that he cast. Wood blanks are, from bottom up, cedar, desert ironwood(l), cherry burl (r). Good thing I'm ineligible for the 2019 BASH Pretty Wood Pen contest; that cherry burl would be a nice entry!

Thank you, Doug, for an excellent pen and blanks. I'm looking forward to giving them a spin.
